From central Maryland comes a singer-songwriter with a flare for folk rock.
For the past fifteen years, Scott Sivakoff has performed in concerts throughout
the U.S. and internationally, both as a solo act and with fellow musicians.
Scott's shows feature both his original songs and traditional folk and rock standards,
highlighting artists such as Simon & Garfunkel, Jim Croce and The Beatles.
Heavily influenced by the music of the late Harry Chapin, Scott's original
music is also inspired by artists such as John McCutcheon,
Gordon Lightfoot and Steve Goodman.
Scott recently released his debut CD of original songs titled
Different Directions.
The CD features story songs that capture universally relatable scenarios
such as the challenges of moving into another life phase or the isolation
as a family grows apart over the years.
Scott strives to use the power of music to produce positive social action
via grassroot organizations such as
World Hunger Year (WHY)
and the Local United Network to Combat Hunger (LUNCH).
Scott has performed in countless benefit concerts, raising thousands of
dollars to help feed the hungry as well as other worthy social causes.
